Onion Tomato Chutney

Ingredients:
-------------
1.Big Onion - 3
2.Tomato - 3
3.Oil - 3tbsp
4.Salt - 1 tbsp
5.Sambar powder- 2tbsp (home made or Achi sambar powder)

Seasoning:
-----------
1.Mustard seeds - 1tsp
2.Urad dhal - 1tsp
3.Fennel seeds - 1tsp
4.Curry leaves - little

Method:
----------

Cut the onion and tomato into small pieces.Keep the kadai in the stove and pour the required amount of oil.Seasoning the items that are given and then add the onion and tomato.Saute for some time.After sauting add sambar powder,salt and 2 cups of water.Once boiling starts and reduce the flame for 10 to 15 minutes.Then add 1 laddle idly or dosa batter increase the flame for 5minutes and switch off the stove.This chutney is very tasty with idly or dosa.

Rava Paniyaram

Ingredients

Rava - 2 cups
Sugar - 1 and half cup
Oil

Method:
First soak the rava for 20 minutes.Make sure the water level should touch the top level of rava.After that add sugar with rava and grind it in the mixi for 3 to 4 minutes.Then mix with water.The batter should be consistency of dosa batter.Keep the kadai in the stove.Pour the required amount of oil,once the oils gets heated,keep the flame in sim and using a small spatula,slowly pour 1 spatulla of batter into the oil and wait for a second when the paniyaram raises slowly pour the heated oil on top of the paniyaram 2 0r 3 times with the help of a spoon,paniyaram to be cooked fast.Then turn the side, wait for a minute and remove from the kadai.

Fish Kulambhu(Fish Curry)

Ingredients

Fish - 1/2 kg
small onion - 15
Garlic - 10 pods
Tomato - 1
Green Chilly - 1
Tamarind - 1 gooseberry size
Salt - 2 tsp
Sambar Powder - 8 tbsp
Turmeric Powder - a pinch
Oil - 4 tbsp

Seasoning

Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - little
Fenugreek seeds - t tsp

Method

Clean the fish and kept aside.Soak the tamarind and salt for sometime.Keep a kadai in the stove and pour 4 tbsp of oil and season with the items.Add the chopped onion,tomato,garlic and green chilly and saute well till it becomes golden brown.Add turmeric powder,sambar powder and saute for 2 mins.Then add the salt tamarind water and wait till the mixture boils.Once it starts boiling and keep the stove in sim.Wait till the mixture will come thick.Once it comes thick add the fish and cook for 5mins .Then switch off the stove.Use the gravy 2 or 3 hours after cooking the fish gravy




Puffed Rice Upma(Pori upma)

Ingredients:

Puffed Rice - 2 cups
Big onion - 1
Tomato - 1
Green Chilly- 2 small size
Turmeric powder -a pinch
oil- 2 tbsp
salt - required amount

Seasoning

Fennel seeds - 1 tsp
Curry leaves - little

Method:

Soak the puffed rice in a water for 10 mins.After that completely drain all the water and keep aside.Keep the kadai in the stove and pour a 2 table spoon of oil.Season the items and add the chopped onion,tomato,green chilly and fry till it becomes golden brown.Then add turmeric powder and saute for sometime.Add salt and saute for sometime.Finally add the drained puffed rice and saute for sometime.Then switch off the stove and serve it.

Rajma Gravy




Ingredients:

Rajma - 1 cup
Big onion - 2
Tomato -2
Green Chilly -1
Ginger Garlic Paste - 1 tbsp
Dhania powder - 1 tsp
Sambar powder - 4 tbsp
Salt - required
oil- 4tbsp

For Seasoning:

Fennel seeds -1 tsp
Curry leaves -little


Method:

Soak the rajma for 4 hours and put rajma and required salt in the cooker with 1 cup of water,close the lid and cook till 3 whistle ,Then switch of the stove.Keep the kadai and pour oil in the kadai.Then season the items with seasoning.Add ginger garloc paste, chopped onion,tomato and fry for sometime.Then add cooked rajma,sambar powder and dhania powder fry it for sometime.Then add water and cook till it comes thick.

Carrot Halwa


Ingredients:

Carrot - 1 cup
Milk - 1 cup
Ghee- 1 tbsp
Sugar- 1/4 cup
Mustard powder- little

Method:

First peel the carrot and grated it.Keep tawa in stove,put ghee and fry carrot for a while.Then add milk in the fried carrot and wait to get thick.After that add sugar and wait for sometime.Finally add the mustard powder and switch of the stove.
