Ingredients
Rice-3/4 cup
Bengal gram-1/4 cup
Green Chillies-2
Big onion- 1 Small size
Tomato-1 small size
Sambar Powder-1 tsp
Turmeric Powder- a pinch
Salt - To taste
Oil-4 tbsp
To Grind
Garlic-3 pods
Ginger-1 small size
To Season
Fennel Seeds - little
Curry leaves-little
Method
First cut the onion for vertical shape,tomato as small pieces and slitted the green chillies.Soak the rice and bengal gram for 10 mins.Keep the cooker in the stove,put 5 table spoon of oil.Wait for sometime to heat the oil.Then season the fennel seeds and curry leaves.Add the onion,tomato and green chillies,saute for while.Add the grinded items and saute for sometime.Then add 3 cups of water,salt and sambar powder.Wait for sometime to boil.Then add the rice and put lid.After 4 sounds off the stove.
